Description: A nice high quality pocket watch made by the Illinois Watch Co. in 1919. The nickel movement is a very good quality grade 306 with 19 jewels, a Swiss lever escapement with double roller, and gold timing screws. The watch is beautifully finished with a lovely damaskened pattern and screw set gold jewel settings. The watch is mechanically sound and runs really well whilst keeping very good time.It is stem wind and stem set with both functions working smoothly. Housed in a 3 piece 25 year gold filled case that is in very nice condition. No dents, dings or heavy abrasion and the watch polishes up nicely. Screw on / off covers with both doing so easily and both close down square and tight. Lovely double sunk white enamel "Montgomery" style dial with no flaws that I can detect. Very good set of blued steel spade style hands under a good acrylic crystal. Overall a very nice gents pocket watch in lovely condition and working well.
