Description: This listing is for a sand tray that is designed to be easily transported. I created it for therapists who do not have space for (or who do not want) a standard-sized sand tray. While relatively small physically, these sand tray boxes allow therapists and clients to work within the conceptually unlimited world of sand tray therapy. Made of stained and varnished pine, the sand trays have been reinforced and have multiple layers of paint and varnish so that they are sturdy while remaining lightweight and easy to carry and store. They are water resistant and so can be used with moist sand. Following sand tray therapy tradition, the bottom of the sand tray box is painted blue to represent both sea and sky. The inner dimensions of the box are 11.75" x 9" x 3". The outer dimensions of the box are 12.5" by 9.75" by 3.25". The set is also available without sand.
