Description: SLAM STEWART The Cats are Swingin' (His Final Recording) 1990 CD Serfoma BSC 650601-2 Recorded for the Binghamton (NY) Sertoma Club just 16 days before Slam Stewart died. An accomplished, well-known jazz bassist of the '30s-'50s, Slam was half of Slim and Slam with Slim Gaillard. Major Holley was brought in to complete some tracks after Stewart's death. Originally released in 1988 on vinyl, but rare on CD. Completely play-tested EXCELLENT. A crack on the back of the plastic jewel case is its only flaw. Priced well below most listings.
