Description: You'll receive the exact item pictured - one sterling silver unflown Robbins medal/medallion encapsulated & graded by NGC. This particular medal is not serialized and likely isn't represented among the 190 that were known to have been minted in silver (i.e.) it's likely that a few more than 190 were actually produced besides those that were also produced in bronze. This specimen instead may represent a test sample - produced before the main run of 190 were minted in silver. It originated from an executive of the Robbins Company (Tharpe Robbins Co) and is principally distinguished from the other 190 by the word "STERLING" and the Robbins hallmark engraved (stamped) on the bottom of the reverse side of the medallion rather than on its edge. There is nothing engraved/stamped on this medal's edge where normally it would have the "ROBBINS" name spelt out in full, "STERL", and then the serial #. For those who collect Robbins medallions, some will judge this specimen less desirable among those that were not flown because it lacks a serial number. Others will judge it more desirable due to its distinction as being genuine yet an anomaly from the rest.
