Description: Set of six (6) early 20th Century preliminary charcoal drawings of allegorical figures on laid, watermarked paper (marked M.B.M.) Sheet sizes are approximately 19" x 24". The artist is unknown. These drawings came from the attic of an Annisquam, MA, estate and were auctioned by Michael Grogan Auctions of Dedham, MA, in the early 2000's. The grids on the drawings support the idea that these were preliminary drawings for a larger work such as a mural. As seen in the photographs, the drawings are in rough condition and have tears around the edges. Some have small burn marks. However, the quality of the drawings is such that they warrant being preserved and someone may find a clue who did them or why. Unmatted and unframed. FREE SHIPPING. We normally ship items within one to two business days via USPS. Sorry. No sales or shipments outside of the United States. We endeavor for complete customer satisfaction, however no returns unless there is a significant problem such as wrong item shipped. Please note that colors of the artwork received may vary slightly from scans as they appear on this site due to variations in computer monitors and browsers.
