Description: This is a very rare SINGLE cadet dress gray chevron for (I believe) a MAJOR or REGIMENTAL COMMANDER of CAVALRYI do not know the origin of this military academy chevron and I don't believe West Point has an cavalry section, so I have listed it as West Point "old style" because of it's size. Following the admission of women to the Corps of Cadets for the first time, 1 July 1976, all rank insignia for the Dress Gray and the Full Dress Coats were reduced in height to be proportionate to the shorter female upper arm. This one is pre 1976 as it is the old style with a hight of 10 1/2 inches ! I will gladly combine shipping for items purchased at the same time PLEASE SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS
