Description: Simplex "World" cathedral, Model R, made in 1932. A rare, seldomly seen radio, made by the Simplex Radio Company about 1932 in Sandusky Ohio. In 1937 Philco, bought a controlling interest in the Simplex Company. By 1948 the local company adopted the Philco name. I picked this up at a swap meet, and it does work. A peek inside showed that restoration work was previously done, and on plugging it in, the radio worked well. Ships to CONUS only.
