Simon & Halbig 949 Made 4 French Market Closed Mouth Sonneberg Body S&H

Description: A lovely cabinet size, 16 and 1/2 inch tall, Simon & Halbig 949 with a gorgeous face, blue glass eyes, and a delicately outlined closed mouth. She has a French light brown human hair wig. Her dress is light blue silk with lots of ecru lace and a dropped waist. She has a matching bonnet and white pantalets, ecru knit stockings and tan leather vintage shoes with pearl like buttons. Unfortunately the dress is sewn on so I was unable to to take the dress off but as the photos show I pushed the dress and sleeves up as far as I could. There are some stains on the socks and pantalets. Also a few small ones on the dress. The bisque is lovely and free of hairlines or damage. The body is a jointed Sonneberg type with straight wrists, and in good condition. One foot looks like it's been rebuilt but not repainted. Shows some wear as seen in the photos.The solid dome head is marked S7H 949 This is a rarer mold, and has a beautiful face with crisp molding, a dimpled chin, beautiful bisque, and lovely blue eyes, possibly paperweight. Study photos and ask all questions before bidding. Doll is from my personal collection. I bought her from Jay and Ralph Minter from Wichita KS years ago. Both are gone now. They sold many many beautiful antique bisque and china head dolls.
