Description: Silver & leather document folder S M Smith & Co Silver Desk Blotter - Birmingham - 1902 Hand pierced and embossed early 20th Century blotter with flowers, leaves, birds and scrolls. In the middle is a blank cartouche. It measures 28.5cm x 22cm x 1.5cm and is mounted on black leather. It weighs 800 grams. It is fully hallmarked with the anchor for Birmingham assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver and the date letter C for the year 1902. It has the maker's mark "SWS&Co" (in a shield) for S W Smith & Co.The inside has a pocket for papers. Very good condition - 2 minor dents to cartouche. Some scratches to inside leather. Rubbed leather on spine.
