Description: Lovely abstract inspired interpretation of tousled wild grasses with several longer stems peeking out. I’ve researched the artist and he has no legacy as I can find. However, his work reminds me of some print work by late NW Artist Wesley Wehr, even down to the tiny pencil signature. Also, Richard Gilman’s work reminds me of Late Vashon Island Artist Art Hansen. Early in Art Hanson’s art career, like about the late 1950s, he did similar abstract studies of Nature. I’m just imparting this information because that is what ran through my mind when encountering the art. Original plate marks etching print signed by Richard Gilman, 1/5 editions. Framed by Husted in Seattle, north near Ballard. Framed around the 1980, judging from the frame style and the frame shop decal on verso. Condition: Image is Excellent.
