Description: Set of two Brutalist Patched & hammered copper table lighters , ashtray and one ice bucket by Paul Evans for CC Designs...Authentic & Original Ice Bucket: This Brutalist ice bucket features a hammered cooper over wood patina patchwork design with a white plastic inner lining. Piece measures 11" in height by 10" square. In very good vintage condition. Ashtray: 8" square 2.25" Tall Large Table lighter: 3" wide by 10" high Small Table Lighter: 3" square Excellent Vintage condition This set is in great vintage condition with minor wear due to age. The lighters have not tested for working condition. The smaller lighter is signed but the other two are not but were bought and came from the same collection. About: Paul Evans (American, 1931-1987) was a sculptor, furniture designer, and artist. He was known for his contributions to the American Craft movement and his work with manufacturer Directional Furniture. He moved to New Hope, PA in 1955, and opened a joint showroom with Phillip Lloyd Powell, with whom he collaborated on objects such as chargers, tables, screens, and cabinets. Evans studied at the Philadelphia Textile Institute, Philadelphia, PA, the Rochester Institute of Technology, School for American Craftsmen in Rochester, New York and the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The two ended their collaboration in 1966.
