Description: This is a rare signed copy of "Bless This House" by Opera singer, Gladys Swarthout. It was a gift in 1943 to an employee of the Courier Post from the advertising agency that represented Gladys Swarthout. There is a letter included from Benton & Bowles, Inc, an advertising agency on Madison Ave. in NYC---one of the oldest in the US. The letter was written and signed by Bush Barnum and speaks about the famous song "Bless this house" and the impact ii has on listeners. This record was given to the newspaper employee before it was released to the public. It is on the Victor Label #10-1050 and features Gladys Swarthout with Lester Hodges at the Piano. The B side is "Ah, Love, But a Day." The autograph is on a white piece of paper affixed to one side and says "With Best Wishes from Gladys Swarthout." Condition: Excellent. The record appears to have never been played and has the original paper sleeve. Visit my listings for more vintage 78 records, vinyl records and tape cassettes.
