James Hubert Price (1878-1943) served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, and as the 23rd Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. He was elected the 53rd Governor of Virginia, serving from 1938 to 1942. Price, a Democrat, was a supporter of FDR's "New Deal" programof massively increased government spending. This card is about 3" by 5", and is imprinted "From the collection of L. Shear",who was evidently a collector of autographs. It is signed in ink by Governor Price.
