Description: Signed later printing of Story of a Secret State by Jan Karski. Signed and date by Jan Karski on the half title page. Extremely rare to find Karski’s signature. Jan Karski, is well-known for his involvement in the Polish resistance during WWII. He acted as a courier from Nazi-occupied Poland back to the Western resistance, being one of if not the first person to notify the West of the atrocities being performed by the Nazi regime. Some non-sticky residue around the signature, likely from where a previous owner had a photograph or insert kept in the book. Likely a later printing of the book as non year of publication on the title page. Please see photos for full condition assessment.
