Description: Framed hand-colored lithograph 'Le Malentendu' by Boris O Klein in the 1930's. Famous for his dog pieces Boris O Klein was a great humorist whose main art themes were (1) public urination; and (2) male-female flirtation or desire. This scene depicts a small act stuck up a tree with a sign saying "here" in an attempt to put the dogs off from using their usual watering. The cat seems to be a distraction for a more sinister plot that is revealed in another one of O Kleins prints in this series. This is signed and titled on the bottom of the print in pencil by the artist. The numerous scenes by O'Klein of dogs lined up against walls or beside trees to urinate are part of what gives the prints their incendiary appeal for some viewers.A great piece of collective signed art in excellent condition ready to hang, this would suit any dog collectors or French humorist artists living room, bedroom or library.MEASUREMENTSLithograph measures 19.75" long by 8.75" tall by 0.75" deep and weighs 1lb 10oz.CONDITIONIn good condition considering age - please see all pictures as they form part of the description.
