Description: A nineteenth century hand coloured engraving, drawn and engraved by listed French artists the Roargue brothers (Emile and Adolphe). It is a view of the Piazzo del Campo, the main public square in the centre of the Italian city of Siena in Tuscany. Various figures including two monks, traders and families shown. The large central building is the Palazzo Pubblica, the civic headquarters. Printed and published in Paris by Drouart, Rue de Fouarre. The print is in excellent condition and is well presented with an ivory coloured card mount within a wooden frame with inner gilt trim. The mount is in very good condition, though note the inner edge is toned conducive with age, the frame is in good vintage condition. Glazed and ready to hang. Measures 33 x 25cm including the frame, the image only is 17 x 11.5cm. Note this is one of four similar in matching frames that I am listing for sale, all are shown in the final photograph.
