ABOUT THE ARTISTSieglinde Konrad-Lubbers, a resident of Manhasset, is a pastel artist specializing in portraits and still life. She majored in art and minored in elementary education at Hunter College and taught kindergarten and first grade for forty years in Elmont. Upon retirement, Sieglinde began exploring and strengthening her artistic abilities. She studied pastel painting with Long Island artists, Jeff Webb and Suzanne Young. Currently Siegie is studying with Dan Slapo at his Westbury studio.Sieglinde has also delved into watercolor, and takes classes with Louise Fucci at the National Art League in Douglaston.
