After applying the dye to the tied areas of your fabric, you simply cut the ties, lay the fabric out in the sun, and allow the sunlight to develop the colors. As the shirt is exposed to sunlight, the colors intensify and reveal themselves almost immediately, making the process quicker and more interactive than traditional tie-dye methods. The same process is used to create the image of Shelley Duvall. After applying the dye to the shirt, a negative is placed on top, and the shirt is brought outside to expose in the sun. This method produces greater detail than traditional screen printing.
