Description: Seven rolls of antique Zuber handprint wall paper! Beige ground and ivory/cream print. Zuber, of Rixheim, France, is the finest maker of wallpaper in the world and has been business since the 1700's. Small repeat so there is very little wastage. Original and very good condition, some small damage at ends/sides of rolls, but the rolls have selvage and should hang well. Found in a box with a Zuber scenic shipped from Philadelphia to Boston in the 1920's. There is enough here for a powder room, other small room or as a decorative accent. Impossible to find in this quantity and condition. At $157 a roll, 6 of which are about 17-18 feet, this is FAR less than modern high end wallpaper of inferior quality. I have measured only one roll to avoid damage to the paper. That roll is around 17-18 feet long-I measured 16 feet as far as I could unroll and there was still paper left). One roll appears to be smaller than the others (see last photo, lower right roll). I estimate (but do not guarantee) 175 sq feet of paper, using an 18 inch width.
