Each dish or vide poche is in the shape of a half moon or demi-lune with a black and white neoclassical medallion theme on a gold or gilt background. They are all individually numbered 1 through 6 on the back together with the Fornasetti mark. Could also be used as an ashtray or as candy, nut, salad or other serving plate.
