Description: In 1899, during the Spanish American War, the U.S. Army issued its first khaki colored summer service uniform. Unique to the uniform where branch colored shoulder straps. Enlisted men wore white for Infantry, red for Artillery, Yellow for Cavalry and so on. The uniform was discontinued 3 short years later due to major reforms to the U.S. Army uniform and insignia. This is a pair of EM Infantry. Light spots but great shape overall. Please judge that for yourself by the pictures. Truly a rare find.
