Description: Thrifting find. Set of nine caramel-brown melamine compartment meal trays. Identical trays are described as military mess trays from the Korean Conflict. Each is marked on the back BOLTA US MFG'D 1952. They are thick and heavy, weighing well over one pound each. Each measures about 13.5" wide and 10.5" tall, and is about an inch deep. Three of them have scratches in the largest compartment area, and some have light haziness on the backs from storage and wear. Some appear virtually unused.
