Description: Maker and age: On the reverse of these lovely dinner plates is the red back stamp number 33 of Theodore Haviland, one of the great Limoges firms at the turn of the last century. According to the third edition of the Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Frank Gaston, this mark was in use between 1903 and 1925. Design: The pattern - called Schleiger 1073 - features a pale yellow band with garlands of tiny pink roses and green leaves against a background of fine white porcelain. Haviland pattern identification disclaimer: The Haviland companies produced between 30,000 and 60,000 china patterns, many with only slight variations, and the identification of this item's pattern is not guaranteed. If you are trying to match a Haviland pattern, please check all the photos in this listing very carefully against your own items to be sure this is the right pattern for you. Size: The plates are 9 3/4 inches wide and together weigh 4 pounds 6 ounces. Condition: They are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, discoloration, stains, crazing, repairs or significant wear. There is light wear to the gold edges - it's visible in the photos. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
