You can also remove the grey light housings (and pull out the wires) from the poles if you wish to use your own shorter poles or shorten these poles.Each LED is wired with both positive and negative inputs, so you can use the supplied controller or use your own controller (can be common anode or common cathode since you get both wires for each LED). There are no resistors wired inline, so suppling more than 1.5 V to the LED will permanently damage it - you should add a resistor if you are not using the supplied controller and/or plan to supply more voltage than that.The controller is very simple and runs it through a sequence of three states (green, then yellow, then red; however these lights only have the red and green so you will not connect anything to the Y output on the controller). In the extremely rare event that an order is damaged, the shipping costs have an extra layer of protection built in, which is insurance through U-PIC to cover your full purchase price to allow for hassle free replacements. 2) ITEM CONDITION and RETURNS: All of the items we sell are HANDMADE products that have never been installed/used before (unless it is specifically otherwise noted in the listing description). With that being said, we consider these products to be new and of high quality, but since each is handmade, the quality will vary slightly on each one. The images shown with the listing are stock photos representative of the item we will ship you, but again, since it is HANDMADE the product you receive will vary slightly. We only accept returns on a case-by-case basis due to the fact that once you make a purchase and we ship it, we have expended time and money to fullfill your order that we do not get compensated for if you change your mind and want to return the product.
