Description: About the item: From the June 2008 issue of Playboy (and reprinted on page 101 in The Art of Doug Sneyd), this collection features two preliminary illustrations created by acclaimed illustrator Doug Sneyd for that issues gag cartoon. The first scan features everything the buyer will receive. The second scan shows the two sketches, each of which measures approximately 8 1/2 by 11 inches and are rendered in pencil on vellum. The third scan features Xerox copy of the cover to the issue the cartoon appeared in (please note that the magazine itself is not included in with the listing). The fourth and final scan features the page that features the final version of the cartoon removed from the magazine. Each piece is in good condition - these were prelims and as part of the creative process are not expected to be kept perfect. Would look great framed together! Please note- buyer receives both originals in addition to the Xerox copy of the finished cartoon and the Xerox copy to the cover of that issue. About Doug Sneyd: Doug Sneyd began his career in commercial illustration before going freelance to work for a variety of book and magazine publishers. In 1964, he began working for Playboy and his gag strips have appeared in the magazine ever since. Throughout his career, he has contributed over 500 cartoons in all and became a favorite artist of Playboy readers.
