Description: Maker: Denmark's Bing and Grondahl, the maker of this lovely set of 12 soup bowls, has produced superb quality ceramics since it was created in 1853. The three towers of the green B&G mark that appears on the back of each bowl derive from the coat of arms of the city of Copenhagen. Design: The gold trimmed pattern - called Sea Shell - is a beautiful expression of classic Scandinavian design, with a blue textured "fish scale" band that morphs to a white center. It's very similar to the Seagull pattern, but without the seagull. Size: The bowls are 8 3/8 inches wide, 1 5/8 inches tall and together weigh 10 pounds 5 ounces. Condition: They are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or wear. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
