PUBL: Bien This is a nice SET of GREETINGS postcards showing CHILDREN that would have been sent for BEST WISHES and FRIENDSHIP. The postcards have the classic look, and are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. The postcards show a young boy and girl in various "scenes". The titles are: Love at first sight; Bath time, and The honeymoon. These are nicely drawn postcards with good detail, which makes them pleasing to look at. They have a bit of HUMOR to them. These are ARTIST SIGNED, by Katherine Gassaway, a well respected artist. Her postcards have strong value. The publisher of these postcards is Julius Bien, a sought after publisher who published in Germany. The publisher of these postcards is Julius Bien (1850-1915, New York), who published holiday and greetings postcards out of Germany during the “Golden Age of Postcards” (1908-1915 era). He was one of the pioneers of the postcard industry and is looked upon as one of the most sought after publishers by collectors. This is a nice SET of antique Children postcards for the collector. The postcards are detailed and pleasing to look at. These are truly collector items, and would be good to put into a collection. Overall, a nice selection of Children antique postcards at a reasonable price! The postcards are UNPOSTED (2) and POSTED (1) with a cancel date of 1909. These were "Printed In Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915 era). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some of these to have edge wear, smudges, stains, paper toning, cuts and creases because of their age (over 100 years old!).
