Description: This is a handsome, rare, serviced, vintage, 1970's, men's, HMT Janata wristwatch that would be an excellent addition to your vintage watch collection or a great way to start one.It features a 1 3/8" polished stainless steel case, excluding crown and lugs, that surrounds a repainted dark blue dial complimented by silver hour and minute hands, red sweep center second hand, light blue Arabic numbers and outer chapter, and an image of the famous Indian peace activist Mahatma Gandhi in the center. Finally, to complete the restoration, the 17 jewel, manual wind, Para Shock movement has been cleaned & serviced, sets and winds effortlessly, and is keeping excellent time. This beautiful timepiece features a screw-down back and has been fitted with a woven fabric blue NATO strap with stainless hardware and buckle.
