Description: This is a Selmer USA 100 Bb Clarinet, Serial Number 289415. It is made of Grenadilla wood in excellent condition. The bore is very clean, evidence of daily care given to swabbing and temperature/moisture control year round. The bore grain is even, straight, and like new. The key work is tight, smooth and well regulated. The action is medium light. Tone holes are clean and unchipped. The rings are tight. The upper joint has a metal cap on the lower tendon. All corks are new or functioning perfectly well. The pads cover well. Included is a "new" mouthpiece, Giglotti ligature and Rovner mouthpiece cap, 2 swabs, an Eastman Esperto premium No. 3 cane reed, and the newly developed non-toxic "FAT CAT" cork grease. The case is a hard shell travel case with secure metal clasps, an easy grip handle, and a plush padded interior. The outside of the case has some scuff marks, but it has a firm, indestructible exterior that is guaranteed to protect the instrument. As such, it is one of the most secure cases available. This clarinet plays well in tune; the octaves are in tune. The tone is clear and bright, centered and ringing.
