Description: Seabury Book of Common Prayer BCP 1979 1977 Episcopal Compact Proposed This is a copy of a compact Book of Common Prayer of Episcopal Church USA. It is the 1979 edition, but pre-RCL so it uses the older Sunday Lectionary. In fact, it is the 1977 “Proposed edition,” so one of the first editions ever published. If you are looking for quality editions with wonderful paper and typeface, pre-RCL these early Seabury prints are amazing, even if the typeface is small. This particular edition is a stand out because of the amazing paper quality. No ghosting and clear print! Please see the certification year if that’s important to you. The binding is imitation leather without noticeable creases. I found no writing except a name on the front free end page, interestingly. Seabury produced, in my opinion, the highest quality BCPs. These are quite difficult to come by since this edition is long out of print. The page edge gilding is in what appears to be perfect condition. 6.3 x 4.25 x 1.4 inches Dime used for comparison Note: I do not accept returns unless the item was not as I described because of a mistake I made. Unlike the vast majority of sellers out there, I refuse to hide imperfections through cleverly taken pictures or obscure descriptions.
