Description: Standard size chrome postcard shows Walter Scott (1872-1954) known as Death Valley Scotty and his pet dog Windy in Death Valley, California. He sits in a low rocking chair, is dog at his side. Scotty was a gold miner and performed in Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Shows for 12 years. He had a reputation as a con man, and built Scotty's Castle (aka Death Valley Ranch) for himself and lilved there until he died though he rarely stayed in it, preferring his cabin in the lower ranch. He's buried above the castle. Unused; excellent condition.
