The Scionix / Saint-Gobain 1.5M2.25/1.5L NaI(Tl) scintillator detector uses a Thallium doped Sodium Iodide NaI(Tl) Scintillation Crystal for Gamma Radiation Detection. The crystal is 57mm Long (2-1/4 inch) by 38mm diameter (1-1/2 inch).The PMT used in this detector is a Hamamatsu R980 Photomultiplier Tube. The PMT has a grounded Mu-Metal shield surrounding the PMT. Dimensions: About 1-3/4-inch diameter and 6-3/4-inch long without the BNC connector (44mm x 170mm).
