This is a set of three compact discs of Robert Schumann's DAS PARADIES UND DIE PERI with Simon Rattle conducting the London Symphony. The set was withdrawn from a library collection, and the discs, booklet, and artwork have some library markings on them. The playing surfaces of the three discs are clean: no scratches, scuffs, or defects of any kind. They will play properly for you without problems.The set comes with a substantial booklet containing the text of the oratorio, commentary, pictures, and the like. The discs are SACD, but they will also play properly with ordinary (non-SACD) audio gear intended for use with traditional compact discs. The first two discs contain the music, and the third disc is a Blu Ray disc containing both audio and downloadable files. The Blu Ray disc requires playback on a Blu Ray disc player. My price is lower than the other sellers, but there is one small catch: I will send you the three discs in three separate paper and plastic protective sleeves, along with the booklet and front and rear pieces of the box that originally contained everything. Though the box has been taken apart into pieces. It is no longer a box at all. If you can live without the original box, and tolerate some library markings, you can save some money on this music.
