Description: Up for bid is a flat handle master butter knife in the aesthetic ROSETTE pattern by Whiting, introduced around 1890. The knife is 7 inches long and weighs 23 grams. The piece is monogrammed "LCB" on the front of the handle. The knife is marked "5" with the Whiting trademark and "STERLING". Condition on the knife is fair. There is considerable wear from use, and some stubborn marks around the stem from a rubber band, but it has not been buffed or otherwise altered. A nice old piece!
