Description: Up for sale here is a very rare copy of W.B. Yeats "Last Poems & Plays," a stated first printing published by the Macmillan Company in 1940. Final works by Yeats who died the previous year, containing "Purgatory," one of his bleakest plays. Some shelf wear and fading to cover graphics, light wear to corners and spine. Was once a library book, but has very little evidence of such. Faint faded library marks on spine, faint trace of adhesive from card removal in rear. Tight binding and no issues to spine or pages.
