Description: Circa 1930s postcard shows the headquarters of the Scandinavian Alliance Mission (SAM), a Franson-Risberg Memorial, at 2839 McLean Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. In 1889 missionary Hudson Taylor called for 1000 missionaries to go to China to share Christ. Fredrik Franson, from a Swedish immigrant family in Nebraska and commissioned as a missionary by DL Moody's Chicago church, trained 100 of them. Now called TEAM, the agency sends missionaries to many countries. Addressed to Mrs. A.M. Wilson, India Field of SAM but never mailed; excellent - very good condition.
