SC.# 1896b - FDCs BY BAYLESS, 3 DIFFERENT CANCELS U.S. FIRST DAY COVERS - MODERN ISSUES 1982 20c Flag over Supreme Court, 3 different Cancels Bayless cachets Bayless wasn't a "major" producer of FDCs, but he was well known as a dealer who was into the specialized material. His cachets were often plain text, and often had Booklet Covers attached as part of the :cachet". In this case, he made 3 different cancel schemes, as foolows: 1. 3 Bullseye Hand Cancels, all Washington DC, 20066. 2. 2 Cancels, one Hand/Pictorial from Washington 20013, one Machine from Washington 200...a "generic" cancel. 3. 3 Cancels, 2 of which are Bullseye Hand Cancels from Baltimore 21233, and one a Hand/Picturial from the USPS in Baltimore, 21202. Some mileage was put on the car that day! Excellent Condition. Unaddressed. Flaps are outside. Full gum. Corners are sharp, No creases. 2023 Scott is $20.00 for the 3 FDCs. A FINAL WORD - ABOUT MY SCANS: What you get will be BETTER than what you see! Computer scans often show darker or lighter areas which aren't on the actual item, and the larger the object to be scanned, the more areas will be affected.
