Description: The sixteenth mini-album in the series about well-known Polish poster artists presents the work of Sławomir Iwański, an artist associated with the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and the Łódź Film School. His minimalist works are distinguished by original typographical layouts and high color saturation. Iwański, inspired by the achievements of Władysław Strzemiński, postulating the so-called thinking with eyes, composes the letters and words on his posters in such a way that they take concrete shapes - a good example of the technique used are linen made from the letters on the Hommage à John Lennon poster. The artist exhibited his works in Poland and abroad, he was awarded many times, including at the Katowice and Rzeszów Polish Poster Biennials (1997, 2005). The introduction and selection of works for the book was prepared by Zdzisław Schubert. The description above is from the publisher.
