Description: Presented today is this lovely, vintage Santo Domingo basket pot. Produced around 1990, it was crafted by Josie Martinez. Black-on-Black pottery is most commonly seen at Santa Clara, although a few artist at Santo Domingo specialized in it, in the past. It is about 3 and a half inches across and 3 inches tall. It is signed with the initials J M, which is how Josie signed her smaller work.The piece is in very good condition, with some minor scuffing.
