Description: Santa Fe Railroad envelope R.R.B. Retirement Board w slogan & train logo Unused My late grandfather was a small town doctor who lent his services to passengers and crew of the Santa Fe when they came through his small Iowa town. In return, he was given a discount on passage on the train. He took the train to Chicago, to St. Louis, to visit us in California, and many other places. He had some cool Santa Fe items that he had collected. This envelope was in his desk. In the upper left is a logo with the front end of a Santa Fe train. Wirtten beneath it is:"Whatever your job is todaywork for safety on the Santa Fe" In upper right corner is: "R.R.B." Those letters are in the place a postage stamp would normally go, so perhaps this envelope was meant for internatl correspondence. Envelope is unused but sealed shut. It has yellowed, or was always manila colored. Two tiny flea bite tears at left edge. (See last photo.) What a fun addition to your collection of railroad memories! SHIPS FREE TO YOU, in an envelope with a First Class stamp, untracked. I will ship as soon as I receive payment.
