However you can also use appropriate ring terminals to fasten wire leads to the terminals, which can make the installation process simpler. You will need soldering skills to install this conversion kit. If you are not confident working with electronics please consider having an electronics tech perform the conversion. The space inside the chassis is confined and you may need tools like small wrenches to tighten hardware during installing. This modification allows you to use banana plugs, spades, bare wire, or whatever compatible connection you choose. The conversion is non-destructive, requires no extra hardware, and no modification of the chassis. The adapter plates are two-piece, keyed to the existing panel opening, and are very secure when installed. Soldering equipment, tools, and basic skills are required.
