Description: Salvage Barley Twist 34 1/2” Wood Post with Floral Inlay Canopy Bed (?) - Pair Offered are these two unusual wood posts with wood floral inlay. I can’t be sure what they are, but they could be toppers for a canopy bed. Each post has a small hole going through it that could have held a rod for the canopy. If you are looking at this, you likely know a whole lot more about antique furniture than I do, so you be the judge. Overall the posts are in very good shape, but not perfect. As I dusted off years of storage dust, I could see where some of the inlay has been lost. Not a great deal is gone, but there are sporadic holes where the inlay is missing. The posts are about 3 1/4” in diameter. More guesswork: the posts are mahogany and the inlay is oak.
