Description: SAKE BARREL Vintage From Japan 72L Replica Handmade For Display. No Alcohol. This is a replica of the Sake Barrels which you can find but not Usually this size. These are Commonly donated to shrines for wishes Of good luck. The barrels are made by skilled craftsman for the Ozeki Sake company. Ozeki Sake is the oldest and Longest manufacture of Japanese Sake. Founded in 1711. Ozeki is also used as the Grand champion in sumo wrestling. In 1979, Ozeki Sake became the first Japanese Brewers to provide local sake manufactured in the USA. The barrel was brought back to Los Angeles from Japan when my Mother and I went to visit our family. It was a prestige’s gift from my uncle and aunt who owned a bar in Fukushima, Japan. This is a very large piece 20” diameter and about 22” H. The price is set since postage will be free and will not be cheap to send. I will only send by ground. Courier will be stated as soon as I can find the one who offers the best cost to ship. The barrel is in excellent shape. There is some rope binding at the top of the face front which has split but can be glued or new cording can be used to replace. The age of the barrel is over 50 years old.
