Description: Sacramento Bee sports page July 3, 1997 on the day of Mark McGwire's 359th HR to tie Johnny Mize on the all time list. It was also the 30th HR of the season for McGwire. Two months prior, McGwire became the final player to ever hit a HR out of Tiger Stadium. A week prior, McGwire hit a 538 foot HR off of Randy Johnson. Less than a month later, Cardinals traded for McGwire. The next year was the year of 70. Newspaper was the same day as the draft in which Cardinals selected Rick Ankiel in first round.
