Art is a member of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen and an author and teacher of the art. He has hand carved a basket for this Santa in which to carry gifts and given him a walking stick with which to use for rapping on doors at Christmas to distribute gifts.He is a typical Pennsylvania Belsnickle. This carving is from a private collection and is in perfect condition having resided in the same location for twenty six years.
