Description: THE HUNGRY TIGER OF OZ Author: Thompson, Ruth Plumly Title: THE HUNGRY TIGER OF OZ Publication: Chicago, IL: The Reilly & Lee Co., 1926 Edition: First Printing Description: John R. Neill. Hardcover. Octavo, 6.75 x 9.25 in., Dark green cloth with front cover pastedown-label, in full color. Faint spotting to top-and fore-edges. Large black and white illustration to front and rear endpapers. VERY light rubbing to extremities. Though this copy is most likely a first printing, it is not the earliest state (damaged hyphen, last line, p. 21), but most likely quite early; the word "two" on p. 252 is perfect. Curiously though the plates in this copy appear coated on both sides. A dime-sized spot to several pages throughout.Supplied later, price-clipped dustjacket -- rear flap lists to The Shaggy Man of Oz, which was issued c. 1949. Very Good Minus in Very Good Later Dustjacket. *Bienvenue 's "The Book Collector's Guide to L.
