She has been a member of the Society of American Graphic Artists, the American Color Print Society and regional printmaking groups. Ruth Leaf’s artwork has been exhibited at the Library of Congress, the Butler Institute of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. In addition she has shown in numerous private and university galleries. In conjunction with her teaching, she wrote Etching, Engraving and Other Intaglio Printmaking Techniques (Watson-Guptill).
