Description: Your source for vintage Ruth Gibbs dollsVery large, very pretty and hard to find, 12 inch tall, signed: RUTH GIBBS, (in block letters on the back of her shoulders) pink tint, china shoulderhead doll by Ruth Gibbs, Flemington, N.J., circa 1940s, and designed by Herbert Johnson. She is absolutely delightful and in near mint condition wearing her charming, labeled: Mrs. March No 230, Little Women long floral printed gown with long fitted sleeves, full skirt, original long white lacy chemise with ruffles and ribbon inserts, long ruffled petticoat, lace trimmed apron and felt bonnet. She has a cloth body with pink tint, china limbs and wonderful painted gold necklace and brown heeled shoes. She has lovely molded features with large, blue painted eyes, long eyelashes, rosy cheeks, slightly parted lips and pretty, brown curly, painted hair. What a terrific member of this famous classic family of "Little Women" dolls produced by an American manufacturer during the World War II era. She has no damages, no repairs, no holes or tears or fading and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. Other Ruth Gibbs dolls are not included.
