The condition is excellent, no chips or visible scratches to enamel and the brass shows no verdigris, heavy oxidation or pitting. The attachment prongs are intact. This metal was often used before and during WW2 for manufacturing Soviet badges to save the far more expensive and strategically important bronze; because this technology is long obsolete, it is very difficult if not downright impossible - and certainly not cost effective - to reproduce brass-plated steel badges of such high quality in modern conditions.
