Description: This is a Russian made porcelain/composition historical doll of a German woman in court costume from the 16th century. She stands 10 1/4" tall and is about 4 3/4" at the base of her dress, and about 4 1/4" deep. Her clothes are mostly made of black velvet and trimmed with gold, silver and tan figured satin fabric. Her cap is also made of the same tan satin, but under her cap is a decorative satin white cloth head covering. From the waist down, the doll is made of a cardboard cone. She was made in St. Petersburg, Russia.
